Hello everyone! Today I bring you my latest read book. Coincidentally I read it on the plan to and from Italy, so you know it's an amazing one. It's a thriller/suspense kind of book, and it's named Verity, by Colleen Hoover. The premise is very simple - a not-so-very-known author (Lowen) is hired to finish a very successful series by a famous author (Verity) that can no longer complete it. Lowen than moves to the author's house where strange things start to happen, and some things are not what they seem.

“Have you ever heard of people referred to as Chronics?” he asks. I shake my head. “I think Verity might have made up the term. After our daughters died, she said we were Chronics. Prone to chronic tragedy. One terrible thing”

Lowen starts by sorting out the author's notes, but ends up finding an unfinished autobiography of Verity that she never intended anyone to read. Page after page of bone-chilling admissions, including Verity's recollection of what really happened the days of her two children's' deaths.

It's a book filled with "what if's", mystery, twists and turns that'll leave you speechless and wondering what's reality, even after you finish the last page. I was inside a train when I was done, and I've got to say, I just wanted to scream and re-read it to see if I'd miss something. I wanted to talk to someone and discuss the theories. Instead I had my boyfriend next to me listening to one of his favorite bands - which implied I had to explain him the whole story before I could talk about it more. Now that I'm writing this I still can't believe the end - that last chapter!

If you've read this book and are as haunted as me... feel free to talk about it. What did you think? What version is the real one?
